Liputan6.com, Jakarta: The government is discussing the possibility of using aircraft to repatriate the pilgrimage of Indonesian Workers (TKI) in Saudi Arabia residence permits had expired. Discussion of the plan involves ministers welfare of the people, who held a meeting at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Central Office, Monday (17/10).Present among others, Minister Coordinator for People's Welfare Agung Laksono, Minister of Religious Affairs Suryadharma Ali, Minister of Transportation Freddy Numberi, Health Minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih. Also present were Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Muhaimin Iskandar, and the State Minister of Women and Child Protection Linda Agum Gumelar.The meeting which began at 13:30 pm this place is closed. Also present were representatives of several institutions such as Garuda Indonesia and BNP2TKI (National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers).After the meeting, Menkokesra Agung Laksono said the government will carry out the process of repatriation of migrant workers is problematic at 30 and 31 October 2011. "It was decided (the repatriation) in the 30 and 31, using 18 scheduled flights from Jeddah to Indonesia," he said.He said there are about 3,000 migrant workers in Saudi Arabia residence permits had expired. "They were repatriated to use Garuda for Hajj, and will be returned to its origin," said Agung Laksono.According to him, the whole cost of repatriation of migrant workers are covered by the government. Everyone TKI costs 140 U.S. dollars, bringing the total overall cost of government issued Rp3, 5 billion.The government only provides a two-day return of the 30 to 31 October 2011, and will not make time on the other days. "We only give the 30 and 31, after that there was no repatriation program," said Agung.Nevertheless the government, according to the Supreme, is optimistic all 3000 workers could be repatriated to their homeland, despite the time that there is very narrow. "There will be teams advance to prepare it, from all the ministries to depart. Data collection has begun at the Embassy, the Consulate General in Saudi Arabia," he explained.Religious Affairs Minister Suryadharma Ali said the repatriation of a citizen of Indonesia (WNI) who overstayed (permit of stay expired) in Saudi Arabia can be done, especially for Indonesian Workers (TKI). But he asked for the return of migrant workers do not interfere with the flight of the pilgrims.He hoped that the return process workers, according to flight schedules.
