REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SAN DIEGO - Discrimination against Muslims in the United States seemingly never know the word quit. The latest is that the U.S. experienced a Muslim woman, where she received discriminatory treatment by an airline.
The story began when Irum Abbasi was about to fly from San Diego to San Jose in March. When in the Southwest Airlines plane, a flight attendant claimed that Abbasi's worried look veiled figure.
Because of concerns that, the flight attendant reported to the federal government's security agencies. Abbasi was immediately undergo an inspection by the local security agency.
Consequently, upon the report Abbasi removed from the list of Southwest Airlines passenger plane. And he was transferred to another plane.
Unilateral action over the airline, Abbasi who is a Pakistani immigrant living in the U.S. for a decade was also sued the airline on Thursday (6 / 10).
In that occasion, the airline apologized for the persitiwa. While Abbasi asked the airline to be professional.
